Entertainment and Sports
Philadelphia's musical scene is rich and varied.
Choices range from rock concerts in large arenas to jazz and blues
in small cafés. Small bars abound and reflect the city's
role as a gateway for 300 years with ethnic neighborhood restaurants,
which often provide entertainment. It is hard to go wrong here,
whether your appetite is for a cheese steak or five star dining.
"The hippest street in town," South Street is famous for
eclectic shops, unique restaurants and energetic nightlife. A great
place to people-watch and window shop while walking off a late night
meal. West on the Schuylkill River, Manayunk is one of the newest
hot spots in the area. Named a National Historic District in 1983,
Manayunk is known for its galleries and restaurants.
